In 2012 I took a career break to start a business with my husband.

Brick House Bakery Cafe began life in a garage and grew to 2 x cafe sites one in East Dulwich the other in Peckham. The business employed a 45 strong person team, with a wholesale arm serving some of best restaurants and retailers in London. We built a bakery school and a retail revenue stream. Winner of The Londoners Loaf, World Bread Awards and Urban Bread Awards. Listed on best bakery and best brunch lists, in British Vogue, Conde Nast Traveller, Eater, Time Out, The Telegraph and Harpers Bazaar. Our recipes and articles were regularly featured in the FT Weekend, Delicious and Guardian Feast. Our bread was written about by Jay Rayner in his book "My Last Supper". Over 8 years we built a strong brand, a good reputation and had financial success, Sadly, unresolvable issues with our landlords at both sites forced our hand and we reluctantly closed Brick House in December 2019.

In 2021 we launched our patreon channel Brick House at Home.
